Chang Thai Restaurant Tasting

We've been running our regular Thai Food Tasting Nights since last year and they've been a great success. People have loved the chance to try Thai dishes that aren't on our menu and also are less common on other Thai restaurant menus. We also like to push it a little and offer some things that are a bit more unusual (not too much, we want you to the enjoy the food!)

Some of the dishes we've served up include...

Isaan beef sausages: "unusual texture, strong liver taste, would work with a sweet sauce"

Coconut curry with banana flower: "Looks weird but tastes good" (NB It was a grey colour!)

Seabream cooked 2 ways: "NO HEAD PLEASE! Very tasty but a lot of bones"

Deep-fried soft shell crab: "Never tried before and always wanted to. Perfect texture, great sauce"

July's tasting night was Seafood - favourites included Prawncakes which are on our special menu this month and Seabass with Thai pickled plums which was served in a traditional Thai dishes heated over candles

Our next Tasting Night is tbc but will be mid-late Sept - watch this space. Price tbc but will be approx £15 for 2 courses - booking is essential as these events are usually full. If you have any dietary requirements we can usually cater for them but please let us know when you book.
